I have been practicing since 2018. My specialty is working with couples and families, although I see individuals as well. As a creative individual, I try to empower each and every client to find motivation from within. I approach each individual from a systemic perspective and tailor therapy to meet your needs. Growth occurs when we step outside of our comfort zone, take a step with me

Prior to finding my passion in counseling, I earned a master’s in International Studies from Texas State University in 2018. I then joined the workforce and faced some personal hardships that led me to counseling for the first time. My experience completely changed my life and I found myself wanting to give that to others. Which led me to going back to school for my second master’s, but this time in professional counseling at Texas State University in 2020.
I have a lot of experience working with women’s issues from being a counselor in a women’s shelter. I have expertise in gender stereotyping, sexualization, abuse, infertility, and domestic violence.I also love working with college aged adults who are struggling with transitioning to living on their own or pressures to know what they want to do for the rest of their lives, I would love to help navigate those changes as well as explore career options. Additionally, I enjoy working with couples on rediscovering their connection again, navigating life transitions or conflict management. For those whose relationship has ended, I know going through a breakup or divorce can be debilitating. I would love to walk with you on your journey to healing.
First and foremost, I meet the client where they are at in terms of techniques and interventions used. I am more eclectic in my techniques but client-centered is my foundation. Which essentially means that while I have extensive knowledge on mental health issues, You are the expert on you and I will provide a non-judgmental and warm environment to collaborate together in the healing process. As the client, you have power in the room to guide us to where you need to go in terms of what you feel comfortable talking about. I am particularly skilled in identifying patterns, analyzing meaning of complex feelings as well as reading between the lines in what clients are saying to make sense of their emotions. I meet the client where they are at in terms of what they need from counseling. In addition to client- centered interventions, I also utilize reality therapy, narrative therapy, attachment- based therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy where appropriate. I am here for you every step of the way.
